The Game Boy Advance AGB-101 mod has been a thing since as early as 2012 something like that, it involves using an AGS-101 LCD either OEM or reproduction and a ribbon cable made for adapting the AGS-101 LCD to the AGB-001 motherboard (40 pin or 32 pin).

Between the Pocket and the AGS-101, I’m probably going to keep playing GBA games on the AGS-101. Mainly because AGS-101 is what I had as a kid and that’s how I remember GBA games looking. Right now I’m just using the Pocket to play Game Gear games because I don’t have a modded Game Gear and the screen on stock Game Gear is fucking awful.
